About the Role:
We are excited to announce that we are inviting applications for a new position in alignment with our Maintenance team – a Shutdown Planner.





Reporting to the Senior Shutdown Planner, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance work through shutdown periods.
This role works closely with our Shutdown Planners and Shutdown Schedulers from corresponding work groups and is responsible for the execution of Talison's shut readiness cycle, ensuring conformance to systems, with processes in place to enable effective planning and efficient resource allocation.
This a residential role, based at our Greenbushes Lithium Operation, on a 7:7 (12-hour dayshift) roster. Company housing can be on offer, but you must be prepared to live and work within our beautiful Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes during your rostered shifts.
Responsibilities include:






Process owner for planning of all shutdown mechanical maintenance activities; Development of detailed maintenance orders and maintenance tasks lists; Forecasting of major shut work and maintaining the preventative maintenance schedules; Defining shut labour requirements and sourcing specialist contractor labour; Ordering of materials and labour and associated accounting processes; Creation of clean out plans and permitting requirements. About the Candidate:
The incumbent should have the following qualifications or experience:
Minimum of 10 years post apprenticeship experience in a continuous mineral processing industry, mining or heavy industrial maintenance environment; Prior experience working within a maintenance planning function; Trade qualification within the Electrical or Mechanical field (highly desirable); Completion of planning-based asset management courses (highly desirable); Data management or analysis qualifications (highly desirable).





The incumbent should have the following skills or competencies:
Demonstrated high level experience using SAP, particularly S4/HANA; Knowledge of maintenance planning principles and procedures and computerised maintenance planning systems; Strong computer literacy with knowledge of spreadsheets, database, scheduling (MS Project) and word processing applications; Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills; Team-focused approach with excellent cross-discipline communication skills (including meeting facilitation).
