Full job description
We are seeking a Cluster Groups Reservations Manager, overseeing two properties (PARKROYAL Darling Harbour & PARKROYAL Parramatta), responsible for directing and optimizing all aspects of the group reservations operation.
Reporting to the Cluster Director of Revenue and working collaboratively with individual property Reservations Managers, this position focuses on implementing revenue strategies, simplifying processes, and maximizing revenue through effective group reservations management.

The successful candidate will:
- Ensure timely and professional handling of group reservations correspondence and guest contact.
- Accurately record and enter group reservations and correspondence into Opera.
- Work closely with the individual property Reservations teams to ensure the correct management of both Leisure and Meeting Groups. Ensuring enquiries are responded to and follow ups are completed in a timely manner.
- Oversee and ensure group reservations align with current rates to achieve optimal average rate and yield.
- Review daily reports, ensuring accuracy of group reservations and follow up on any necessary actions.
- Manage group inventory effectively, including materialization policies and block management.
- Develop and nurture relationships with regular clients and booking agents.
- Assist with training of Reservations team in the processes of Group Reservations
- Collaborate with Reservations Managers to recommend group inventory yielding strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly revenue meeting information and participate in the monthly revenue forecast process, working closely with the Reservations and Yield Manager and Director of Revenue.
- Lead weekly group meetings and ensure effective communication with relevant departments.
Ideally you will have:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience managing small teams
- Knowledge of Opera PMS or similar PMS
- Previous experience working in a hotel environment ideal
- Ability to multitask and work accurately and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills on both the phone and in person
- Have a passion for delivering welcoming customer service and memorable guest experiences
