Opportunity to join a leading private credit fund in a role focusing on origination, structuring and execution of real estate deals. This leading Private Credit Fund is dedicated to providing tailored financing solutions to real estate developers and investors ($1mil - $50mil loan size). With a track record of successful investments and a commitment to innovation, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their team as an Associate Director. As the Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the real estate lending business. You will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing new lending opportunities,
while also nurturing relationships with borrowers and industry partners. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's expansion and to contribute to the success of the investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Origination Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive origination strategy to identify and pursue attractive lending opportunities in the commercial real estate market. Deal Sourcing: Proactively source new lending opportunities through relationships with borrowers, brokers, developers, and other industry contacts. Deal Structuring: Work closely with the investment team to structure and negotiate financing terms that align with investment objectives and risk parameters. Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective borrowers, properties, and market dynamics to assess creditworthiness and investment potential. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with borrowers, investors,
and other stakeholders to drive deal flow and support ongoing business development efforts. Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and inform investment decisions. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including underwriting, legal, and portfolio management, to ensure seamless deal execution and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate lending, private credit, investment banking, or related field, with a proven track record of originating and structuring complex transactions. Strong understanding of real estate finance, including debt structuring, underwriting,
and credit analysis. Established network of relationships within the real estate industry, including developers, sponsors, lenders, and other key stakeholders. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities and assess risk effectively. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners. Entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive approach to sourcing deals and driving business growth. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
