Overall Job Purpose:
The Marketing Capabilities and Operations Director plays a critical role in accelerating reach to patients by overseeing omnichannel marketing and sales capabilities, along with marketing operations.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can lead a team to execute effective omnichannel campaigns and enhance customer engagement across various channels.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Develop an omnichannel vision (including clear implementation goals and execution roadmap), aligned with business goals
- Drive consistency across core channels and brands by collaborating with each therapeutic area cross-functional team to integrate marketing and sales omnichannel capabilities into brand’s strategy and operational plans
Team Leadership:
- Lead a team responsible for marketing operations and omnichannel execution across sales and marketing (including digital marketing)
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, demonstrating a pioneering attitude
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional brand teams,
sales leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of omnichannel vision
- Partner with external agencies and vendors as needed
Omnichannel Marketing Capabilities:
- Develop a standard for how Lilly should consistently approach marketing campaign optimization to reach target audiences effectively
- Develop a standard to leverage data analytics to measure campaign performance and make data-driven decisions
- Lead ANZ in evaluating how emerging technologies and platforms can play an important role in meeting customers’ needs and reaching patients with Lilly medicines
- Represent ANZ in Regional and Global Multichannel Marketing initiatives and Reviews
Sales Capabilities:
- Work closely with sales leadership to align omnichannel efforts with sales goals
- Monitor sales execution metrics and identify areas for improvement
Technology and Tools:
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, platforms, and trends (including those from external and parallel industries) bringing appropriate advancements and ideas into internal considerations
- Evaluate and implement tools that enhance customer interactions and streamline processes
Marketing Operations:
- Lead Marketing Operations across ANZ to ensure compliant execution of sampling, HCP Speaker management process, and promotional material destruction
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in omnichannel marketing
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and customer journey mapping
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Stakeholder management
- High learning agility and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Experience building and leading high performing team- including capability development across a team/organisation
- Demonstrated ability to develop others to deliver high performance
- Ominchannel marketing experience; 3+ years of broad experience in marketing roles
- Understanding and experience of strategic planning (customer insights, patient journey, segmentation, positioning, branding, messaging, results monitoring)
- Cross-functional partnering capabilities
- Demonstrated strengths in business acumen
- Clear understanding of the promotional rules of engagement and how we communicate with our customers
