About the role
Reporting to Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for:
- The management, security and operational efficiency of the hotel (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Front Office) ensuring optimum guest and associate satisfaction during the night
- Ensure the Night Audit function is performed with relation to roll of day, revenue capture and reporting, in line with relevant SOPs.
- Oversee the safety and security of all guests, associates and assets.
- Anticipate and resolve problems which impact on guest service.
- Facilitate and monitor the implementation of The Langham Sydney WHS Management System and associated policies, procedures, guidelines and programs
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee operations and maintain a highly visible presence in Front Office and guest contact areas (i.e. Lobby, Food & Beverage outlets and Housekeeping)
- Ensure all organisational policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to
- Create a positive hotel image. Ensure general grooming and hotel presentation standards are impeccable and in accordance with organisational policy and guidelines
- Maintain complete knowledge of all room types, hotel matrix and facilities
- Ensure accurate revenue capture, and relevant reports are distributed
- Address and resolve major complaints. Communicate problems to management and advise steps taken to resolve
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to explain and sell services and facilities to guests. Keep up to date current on guest,
restaurant and functions activities
- Ensure security procedures are in place for all areas
- Operate communications equipment and use rooms computer program as required for night audit tasks
- Conduct shift briefings and ensure effective shift handovers. Maintain Duty Manager's logbook
Skill and Experiences
- Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Possess a high standard of grooming and personal presentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
- RSA & First Aid Certificate
- Attention to detail, flexible and reliable.
- Hold a current open manual drivers licence (where applicable).
- Relevant qualifications in Hospitality Management
- Experience in following Policies & Procedures
