Graduate Consultant (Risk Consulting Career)
What can you expect?
An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic engineer recently Graduated to develop their risk management consulting career whilst working within our Property Risk Solutions practice based in our Sydney office. The services offered by this practice are focused on risk engineering / risk management including the use of engineering fundamentals and statistical methods to support property risk analysis and risk action planning activities.
The portfolio of clients is spread across a great variety of industries which will provide exciting scope for development for a new team member! This role will offer an attractive career track and Graduate development plan as well as the opportunity to work within a motivated team of professionals to learn from and develop with.
As a Graduate Consultant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the development of structured solutions to client's property risk management problems, including researching and preparing accurate proposals, assignment plans, site inspections and writing reports
- Actively contributing nationally to the development of the capabilities, direction and profile of the practice
- Working closely with the team to develop consistent approaches to the delivery of consulting programs to existing and prospective clients
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, new business prospects and Marsh brokers
- Adhering to all established standard operating procedures and maintaining accurate records for each project while keeping within assigned budgets

What you need to have:
To flourish in this environment, you will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with outstanding communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. You will also be a strong team player, working with and providing support to other colleagues on complex projects. Excellent organisation and planning skills, a strong commercial and customer focus, as well the ability to work to strict deadlines are essential qualities for success within this role.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you would expect to be a recent graduate with a degree in an Engineering or related discipline.
Some interstate travel, where relevant for projects, may be required.
