About your opportunity: Permanent full-time The Department of Social Work within The Townsville Hospital and Health Service provides comprehensive Social Work services as an integral part of its health care delivery system. This position will deliver high-level clinical social work services within a multidisciplinary team, in partnership with other health professionals, working with renal patients from diverse cultural backgrounds who are receiving dialysis or home therapy. The role will assist patients from both the THHS and those accessing dialysis from other Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), particularly remote communities, who are displaced from home and experience barriers to treatment.
What's on offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $152,775 p.a.





comprising:Salary range of $4769.60 to $5132.40 p.f. (HP4)Annual leave with 17.5% loading12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts.
The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in social work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).Blue Card Checks:





Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.Roster: The incumbent understands and agrees to participation in rotation across clinical areas and campuses, on-call arrangements (including the Department's Emergency Clinical On-call Roster, which requires a 30-minute response time), shift work (including early, late, and night), as well as weekends and public holidays.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.Probation period may apply.Pre-employment checks will be conducted.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
