Chapter Lead,
you’ll at times function in one of our Squads and work in a cross-cutting role driving advancement in our engineering practices.
You’ll lead by example and coach others to develop and automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production-ready. Be part of a supportive and dynamic team, delivering innovative products, which are at the forefront of digital banking in Australia. Apply your skills in leading software engineering technologies to create new features and improvements throughout our technology stack. What you’ll do: Work along the full lifecycle of software engineering from idea to working production and lead a team of engineers. Design reusable services following Service Oriented Design principles and engineer solutions that are highly secure and performant at scale. Role model in the development of your own capability across industry trends, technologies, methodologies and behaviors. Regularly coach and mentor other engineers and chapter members to increase their capability and in turn the capability of the squads and organisation. Contribute to the implementation of the IT strategy of your domain.
Translate IT strategy in terms of the Chapter. Lead in the adoption of Agile / Scrum practice, methodologies and attitudes. Role model agile leadership behaviors. What we’re looking for: Demonstrated experience and proficient understanding of tools across the full software delivery lifecycle, e.g., IDE, source control, CI, test, mocking, work tracking, defect management. Experience in SQL, Informatica, Databases, (.net & Java – nice to have). Good understanding of software design principles and patterns. Technical leadership experience in delivery for software applications and projects. Hands-on experience on API related activities: requirement analysis, design, resource-based API modelling, micro-services architecture.
