Our client is a growing company in the tool industry, seeking a proactive and organised Assistant to support their Business Development Manager. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn the ins and outs of sales, customer relations, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing Quotes: Assist in preparing and processing customer quotes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Delivery Coordination: Oversee and track deliveries, ensuring customers receive their orders promptly and correctly.
- Customer Queries:
Respond to incoming customer queries via phone, email, and in person, providing helpful information and resolving issues efficiently.
- Basic Data Entry: Input and maintain customer information, sales data, and product details into their database to support sales reporting and forecasting.
- Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Business Development Manager, including scheduling meetings, handling paperwork, and tracking key sales opportunities.
- Liaising with Internal Teams: Collaborate with internal departments such as logistics and sales to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Customer-Focused: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and respond to their needs.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage quotes, delivery schedules, and data input with precision.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with basic software for data input and reporting (Excel, CRM systems, etc.).
- Problem-Solving:
A proactive approach to resolving customer issues and queries.
- Organisational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a busy work environment.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with different teams to achieve shared goals.
- Previous experience in sales support, customer service, or administration is advantageous but not essential.
- Car and Licence: For occasional runs as required.
