Role Title: Program Officer (Talent Pool) (REQ526750)

About this role

The Program Officer provides high level administrative services, including the case management of complaints or monitoring of practitioners subject to conditions, to enable the Councils to meet their statutory requirements regarding the regulation of health practitioners in NSW.

The HPCA has offices at two locations, Gladesville and Sydney CBD. Please specify your preferred location on your application.

Crown Clerk 5/6, salary from $93,295 - $102,941 plus Super and annual leave loading

What you'll be doing

Roles will be allocated responsibility in one or more areas, such as:

• Managing practitioners subject to conditions or restrictions on their registration
• managing practitioners who have conditions imposedin relation to potential misconduct
• managing health practitioners whose health is impaired
• managing health practitioners whose professional performance is unsatisfactory
• managing/processing complaints received by the Council about practitioners

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:

• Demonstrated experience in providing high quality administrative support to committees and delegates, preferably within a regulatory environment.






• Well-developed organisational skills and proven ability to manage high volume workloads, to work autonomously and be proactive
• Demonstrated experience in providing high quality customer service
• Ability to think critically and problem-solve
• High level of understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements; ability to be sensitive and discreet in a range of situations
• Experience in the review / development of operational policies and procedures

The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an executive agency of the NSW Ministry of Health. We play an important role in protecting the health and safety of the public by supporting the 15 NSW Health Professional Councils in managing complaints about NSW health practitioners.

The Medical Council team is located in Gladesville,
