HSBC Markets Desk Specialist is responsible for pricing and execution of FX trades in fast moving markets via telephone, client relationship management, provision of market news and insights, and supporting network RMs with markets expertise. All members of the team are expected to help with all parts of the process. It is a fast paced results-oriented team presenting substantial learning and growth opportunities. All members of the team, to different degrees,





help out with whatever needs attention regardless of seniority. The Markets Desk works closely together with our local and global teams in Australia, Hong Kong and London with our expansive global client footprint. Main Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include: Pricing and execution for FX and Investment Understanding of market risks from pricing and execution perspectives. Efficiency and accuracy in pricing various trade strategies Proficiency with electronic trading systems is preferred Daily client interaction (over the phone) to discuss our trading platform, markets and offer solutions Management of HNW client sales and trading relationships with emphasis on knowing clients and understanding their FX needs Provide administrative and operational support for HSBC Invest service Follow economic,





international finance, foreign exchange and international news events Provision of market news and research to internal and external clients Act with courageous integrity and uphold the integrity of markets Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business, mathematics or a related discipline with relevant experience within financial markets, experienced in telephone sales is highly desirable Exceptional knowledge of FX proposition and markets products Expertise in client relationship management with exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills Demonstrate a strong interest and passion for financial markets, international affairs and geopolitical events Able to multi-task and work well under pressure,





high level of self-efficacy with a solution-oriented mindset Must have an analytical approach with strong intuitive reasoning skills and a high attention to detail RG146 in FX and Generic Knowledge Mandarin and/or Cantonese is desirable Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
