Eddy and Wolff has an excellent opportunity for a fulltime Head Chef to join our team in Robina.
Base Salary: $75,000 – 85,000 per annum + Super
Working closely with the management team, the Head Chef will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen operations ensuring the highest quality and consistency of food, along with:
- Creating new menu items, recipes, and developing dishes
- Preparing weekly Staff Rosters
- Overseeing and managing kitchen ordering
- Ordering and liaising with Suppliers
- Assisting with the management of health and safety
- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
- Liaising with Restaurant Manager
- Managing weekly kitchen stock takes
- Monitoring portion and waste control
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
- Overseeing all food preparation stations
- Maintaining food quality and consistency at all times
- Managing and training kitchen staff, ensuring all staff comply with regulations and safety standards
- Providing hands-on motivational leadership and structure in the kitchen
- Drive cohesion with the front of house team so that the operation has a guest focus.
- Working closely with and supporting the Venue manager to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Public holidays
- Tuesday to Saturday availability
Applicants for this position should:
- Have minimum level of Certificate 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- At least 2-3 years relevant experience as a Chef
- Have excellent communication and leadership skills in a high-pressure environment
- Enjoy working in both a team and independently.
- Punctual and available to work flexible hours.
