Program Officer Exciting opportunity managing the rollout of the Purple Flag program in NSW Join the Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner, a group within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Clerk Grade 7/8 with a salary range of $106,025 - $117,363 per annum plus superannuation Ongoing role based in Haymarket, Sydney CBD About the role The Program Officer provides critical program and project administration to support the transformation of the Six Cities region (including Greater Sydney, Newcastle, Central Coast, and Wollongong) into thriving 24-hour economy hubs. The role is responsible for project management of the Purple Flag rollout across Metropolitan Sydney and beyond.





The role will then focus on the ongoing program management for the office. The role involves managing and coordinating resources, monitoring project progress of the Purple Flag rollout, and ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery of initiatives that promote vibrant, inclusive, and safe communities. You will also contribute to research and the development of policy proposals, help design evaluation frameworks, and foster relationships with key stakeholders to enhance project outcomes and guide future planning. Purple Flag is an internationally recognised accreditation program that celebrates precincts that achieve high standards of excellence in managing their night-time precincts. Purple Flag NSW is a program led by the Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner (O24HEC) , a NSW government agency aiming to build vibrant, diverse, inclusive and safe hospitality and entertainment precincts.
