You will have the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing health and developmental screening in early education settings and providing assessment, intervention and capacity building and direct care pathways for children in SWSLHD. What You'll be Doing The position is responsible for leading, guiding and managing the delivery of speech pathology services to paediatric patients within Primary and Community Health. As a senior clinician the speech pathologist is responsible for overseeing and providing an efficient and effective service through the application of clinical expertise and knowledge in the delivery of the Brighter Beginnings preschool health and development screening program. The senior speech Pathologist will contribute to the teaching, research, and clinical practice advancement of the discipline of Speech Pathology in SWSLHD. Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology which is accredited as eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology. Demonstrated experience supervising staff and/or students. Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy and time management. Demonstrated commitment to EBP and experience implementing EBP into service planning and evaluation of service changes. Advanced clinical knowledge and postgraduate experience and skills in paediatric speech pathology 0-5 years Demonstrated strong commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork,
and to collaboration with other services/organisations relevant to the care of the child Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable and/or at-risk complex communities/ families. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
