Parramatta Community Health Centre Where you'll be working Discover Western Sydney Local Health District Mental Health Services, dedicated to supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness on their recovery journey. Serving Auburn, Blacktown, The Hills Shire, Holroyd, and Parramatta LGAs, as well as the Greater Western Region, WSLHD ensures comprehensive primary, secondary, and tertiary health care. What you'll be doing As a Mental Health Clinician the primary purpose of your role will be to Provide person-centred recovery-oriented mental health services. You will implement a whole person and life course approach for individuals with chronic persistent mental illness and complex psychosocial needs in Western Sydney Local Health District. Your role will also be responsible for:





Conducting mental health triage and comprehensive assessments. Delivering psychological and family interventions as part of multidisciplinary teams. Coordinating ongoing care and discharge planning in collaboration with various stakeholders including inpatient units, police, ambulance, government, and non-government agencies. Collaborating with staff, consumers, and external agencies to enhance participation in mental health treatment and recovery. Contributing to quality improvement and service delivery projects within WSLHD and non-government organisations. Essential Criteria: Qualification:





Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker. Registration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist OR for Social Workers, eligibility to be a member of the AASW. Selection Criteria: Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness. Demonstrated understanding and ability to work within experience working in a team and/or knowledge of the principles that guide service delivery within this model of practice Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision. Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007. Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills. Computer competence and literacy including the use of database systems.
