You will have the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing assessment and intervention as well as health and developmental screening in early education settings to children and families in SWSLHD. Applicants will join a supportive team and be provided with clinical supervision and support as well as professional development opportunities. New graduates and early career clinicians are very welcome to apply What You'll be Doing This is a 12 month rotational position between the Primary and Community Health Occupational Therapy team and the Brighter Beginnings Preschool Health and Development Checks team in SWSLHD. This position will support the implementation of the Brighter Beginnings preschool health and development screening, and will provide assessment, early intervention, capacity building and direct care pathways for children in SWSLHD. The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. This position will also provide a high quality occupational therapy service to clients and their families/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient entry, assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, evaluation and separation of patients/clients in a multidisciplinary setting. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery. Completing Final Semester or holds a r ecognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Evidence of knowledge and commitment to the application of quality improvement and evidence based practice Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education Demonstrated clinical experience in the provision of Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention, goal development and evaluation within a paediatric setting focusing on client/family centred practice .
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
