Then we want you This position provides leadership and support the operational and strategic management of the Youth Health Service (YHS) in South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD). This role will coordinate and facilitate YHS development, implementation and evaluation of YHS initiatives, policies and procedures. This role will provide accountability for the provision of accessible, safe, equitable and evidence-based services. The Team Leader will lead and manage operations and staff of the YHS at site level to facilitate delivery of quality, cost effective service and the achievement of the YHS business and service objectives, whilst maintaining the fidelity of the NSW Youth Health Framework 2917-2024 and the SWSLHD YHS Model of Care.
The Team Leader supports the District Manager with strategic and operational priorities and will step up to the District Manager position in their absence. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health related field and/or relevant experience in leading the delivery of Youth Health Services. Demonstrated experience and clinical knowledge of the healthcare needs and issues facing young people in SWSLHD and an understanding of current Youth Health policy and emerging issues Demonstrated experience in managing a dispersed multidisciplinary team (across the LHD) to provide safe, effective, high quality and responsive care to vulnerable, marginalised or at risk populations, including managing demanding workloads within current staffing and resources allocated. Knowledge of and experience in managing including financial, human resource and organisation development,
including high level analytical and problem solving skills that lead to the development of innovative solutions to workplace issues and an understanding of change management principles and managing organisational change. Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills with a wide variety of stakeholders and a strong customer service approach. Experience in the management/supervision of clinical staff, including facilitating access to clinical supervision and clinical case review/management. Demonstrated understanding of health promotion and/or health education and its application for young people. Demonstrated ability to assist in the development of policy and processes in accordance with approved guidelines.

Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
