Employment Type: Permanent Full Time or Part Time, up to 38 hours per week Location: Campbelltown Mental Health Position Classification: Clinical Psychologist / Forensic Psychologist Remuneration: $53.23 - $64.88 per hour Requisition ID: REQ525853 Application Close Date: 27/10/2024 Interview Date Range: 30/10/2024 – 06/11/2024 Contact Details: Katherine Huang – Katherine.Huanghealth.nsw.gov.au About the Opportunity The Campbelltown Mental Health Rehabilitation unit is a slow stream rehabilitation Unit that works with complex mental health consumers over a 12-to-18-month timeframe who are referred from across the NSW state. At full capacity, the unit will have 12 male consumers and 4 female consumers admitted to the unit.





As the Clinical Psychologist on the team, you will be Pivotal in providing 1:1 psychological intervention, group programs, and behavioural management support. You will work with an enthusiastic team of health professionals which includes nurses, psychiatric registrars, consultant psychiatrists, social worker, occupational therapists, and diversional therapists. Clinical Psychology Registrars and Forensic Psychologists will be considered for the role. Job sharing will be considered for the right applicant. The Clinical/Forensic Psychologist will also receive support, peer consultation, and supervision with other psychologists working in this specialised area of mental health. What You'll be Doing To deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation to address the needs of consumers who are living with complex mental health problems and disorders.





The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs. View our application guide for information on how to respond to criteria and improve your application . Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration. Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care.





Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
