The SWSLHD Policy Officer is positioned within the SWSLHD Policy and Compliance Team, which provides a key role in supporting the organisation’s governance function. The role requires collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders, from frontline to executive levels. The role is suited to a candidate with initiative, attention to detail, adaptability, high-level communication and interpersonal skills, ability to edit the work of others and the drive to make a positive impact across all areas of the health service, both Clinical and Corporate. What You'll be Doing Leading and supporting the development, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of key policy documents across SWSLHD. This includes the management of the SWSLHD policy framework, which incorporates both corporate and clinical areas of the business. High-level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to review and edit the work of others.
Demonstrated commitment to, and capacity for, building effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including negotiation, consulting and liaising skills. Demonstrated experience in undertaking all aspects of the PPG process – research, development, review and evaluation. Highly developed computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems, and ability to learn new systems quickly. High-level organisational skills and the capacity to successfully manage several tasks concurrently to meet specified outcomes and time frames, often with minimal direction. Thorough knowledge of government systems and process, including policy and legislative processes and frameworks.
