The role Join the Bradfield Development Authority (BDA) as a Senior Communications Advisor and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Western Sydney. In this role, you will coordinate the development and delivery of strategic communications plans and strategies, providing high-quality communications deliverables to support the delivery of programs and initiatives related to the BDA, Bradfield City Centre, the Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility, and economic development for Western Sydney. You will partner with business lines to provide strategic communications advice and solutions, ensuring consistent and standardised messaging that adheres to best practice communications standards. As a Senior Communications Advisor, you will support the Communications and Engagement Manager in managing the Communications and Media briefing process, developing Communications Plans and detailed Activities Plans. You will also develop communication materials,
draft written content, select visual imagery, and coordinate collateral creation for various mediums, including presentations, video scripts, social media content, EDMs, collateral, the intranet, the website, and public-facing advertising. Your role will involve monitoring and coordinating the creation and delivery of websites, marketing, and social media content and campaigns, maintaining strong relationships with business units and senior executives, and providing support for communication, engagement, and media activities to ensure a smooth go live. Strong project focus and ability to deliver tangible results in an environment of competing priorities and often conflicting views and interests of multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in responding to emerging urgent matters and quickly synthesizing and dealing with issues with multiple competing projects and tight deadlines. Experience in working with limited supervision and guidance to achieve overall agreed work program commitments. Capability to support the manager in delivering tasks on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Competence in consulting with the manager on significant issues or conflicts arising during work performed. Adherence to legislative and regulatory provisions, public sector frameworks, department strategic and business plans, policies, delegations, budget,

Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering strategic communications projects and partnering with business lines to meet communications and engagement requirements.
