The Creative Economy team aims to strengthen and drive the economic development of the arts and culture, and creative industries sectors and support the activation of our communities. The Research and Evaluation Manager manages and coordinates research and evaluation projects and activities to inform and improve Sound NSW, Create NSW and Government decisions relevant to supporting and enabling the vibrancy and viability of the contemporary music sector in NSW.
The role also has a primary responsibility for providing and improving the quality of reports relevant to the work of Sound NSW. In this role you will: Design, execute, and review research projects to ensure evidence-based decision-making within Sound NSW. Identify and commission original research aligned with policy development and operational needs within a solutions-driven framework. Conduct and enhance evaluation activities, reporting findings to inform policy and program development aligned with strategic objectives. Establish and maintain collaborations with leading research institutions to support relevant research and independent evaluation studies. Develop processes and materials for stakeholders to enhance the quality of research, evaluation, and reporting efforts.
Provide insights and recommendations on emerging trends in the contemporary music sector to guide corporate strategy and future research initiatives.
