The Aboriginal Project Officer-workforce will be responsible for performing a range of project/program tasks to assist and collaborate with others for the overall achievement of the Aboriginal Health directorate. This role will include administrative tasks including collate and compile program data, secretariat responsibilities, prepare program reports, Aboriginal workforce initiatives and correspondence for Aboriginal Health across the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. Where you'll be working: The South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Aboriginal Health Unit provides cultural and strategic advice on policy, program, and service delivery. The AHU is also responsible for the coordination and strategic management of Aboriginal Health initiatives that deliver culturally appropriate primary health care to the Aboriginal communities within the Local Health District. A large part of the AHU's role is advocating for changes in policy and practice, as well as providing support and guidance to the Aboriginal Workforce in the District. As a district,

Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, lead, evaluate and report on projects within allocated timeframes and resources Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in performing a range of management of tasks within allocated timeframe Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with key stakeholders. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare meeting papers, reports and briefs with demonstrated computer literacy.
