Demi Chef De Partie – Sandwiches and Bakery production role Permanent full time Monday to Thursday 12:30pm - 9:30pm Sundays 2pm - 8pm Join our Corporate Catering Team Vanilla Blue is an award-winning corporate caterer that delivers over 100 orders to clients in the greater Sydney area daily. We are looking for a Demi Chef De Partie to join our fast-paced and well-organized Partie-based kitchen team.
This role requires the applicant to be available Monday to Thursday from 12:30pm - 9:30pm and Sunday 2pm - 8pm, working 40 hours per week; you may be required to work the occasional weekend.
The Demi CDP should be an enthusiastic, punctual,
and responsible chef or experienced cook to take charge of our evening sandwich production section and bread baking.
Responsibilities and Duties: Make a variety of sandwiches and wraps in bulk for early morning dispatch. Bake parbaked baguettes, rolls, and prepare other breads for the early morning production team. Basic cleaning and tidying up after yourself. Ability to work autonomously after initial training; this will be a semi-independent role. An energetic and enthusiastic approach to catering and bulk production. Great eye for detail and quality control. Ability to multitask and perform to proven KPIs. Be punctual, reliable, and a great communicator. Clean worker with great attention to food hygiene and work safety. FSS certificate holder preferred. What to expect: This full-time role reports directly to the sandwich section Sous Chef. Uniform shirt/jacket and apron provided. 40 hour week, Sunday to Thursday. Public holidays off or time in lieu given. Staff meals and beverages to enjoy with each shift during your break. Encouragement to add your own ideas and creations to the menus.

To be Successful: Minimum one year in a similar role. Must have the ability to stand for 5 hours uninterrupted and carry a minimum of 8 kg unassisted.
