Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities:
We are currently recruiting a FIC Corporate salesperson in Sydney, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity within a fast-paced, results focused, global organization that values diversity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the build out of the Fixed Income and Currencies Corporate business in Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Growing the FIC Corporate flow business with Australian Corporates and developing business opportunities (both public and private deals)
- Originating business opportunities with existing and new clients and providing advisory on risk management and building deal pipelines in collaboration with the Global Markets teams
- Strong pricing and execution abilities in FX and Interest rates derivatives, as well as structured investment solutions
- Preparing pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets and other marketing materials
- Driving sales initiatives and maintaining awareness of SG’s FX & Rates strengths and offerings
- Working in close partnership with the broader FIC desk in Sydney in building out the franchise
- Working collaboratively with other salespersons in the region and globally as well as other departments and partners
- Maintaining strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of the different corporate clients and industry groups
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor’s or master's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering
- At least 6-8 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global Markets
- Proven capabilities in building strong relationships with the Australian Corporate clients
- Strong technical knowledge on Fixed Income and Currencies products
- Good knowledge on the usage of dealing platforms for credit FX and FI
- Strong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
