Reporting to our Deputy Chief Financial Officer, the General Manager - Finance Modernisation will be responsible for delivering our Finance Modernisation initiatives. This role requires a proven track record of leading change while achieving results and will be a key enabler to drive and implement the Ventia strategy.
Options to base from our North Sydney or Cremorne offices, we offer a flexible work atmosphere splitting your time in the office and work from home.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide strategic direction for the transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with Ventia's long term goals and objectives.
- Oversee planning, execution and monitoring of all transformation projects,
ensuring they are completed on time and on budget.
- Establish KPIs to track progress while leading change management efforts that maximise engagement and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop the revised fit for purpose operating model, delivering clear accountabilities and enabling faster decision making, efficiency and scalability.
- Partner with Digital Services and GM Business Evolution to deliver Project Evolve.
- Lead the Finance Academy and delivery of related initiatives (Educate, Elevate, Celebrate).
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., qualified CA or CPA) preferred.
- Well-developed and demonstrated experience with financial processes, systems and technology.
- Adept analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed data driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Experience leading a team working collaboratively in a fast-paced,
dynamic environment, able to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.
