Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs)
and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
- The Security Department provides a 24-hour – 365 day year Security Service to Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital precincts.The primary objectives of the Security Officer role are to ensure the protection of staff, patients and visitors from harm, the protection of the hospital assets and to assist in providing an acceptable level of order, control and safety.
- Security Officers assist in providing a duty of care to all patients, staff and visitors to the hospital, and are required to participate in crime prevention, deterrence initiatives, and risk minimisation strategies. Security Officers assist in providing customer service in all aspects of operational dealings with staff,
visitors and staff.

Essential Requirements
- NSW Security Licence 1A
- Current First Aid Certificate
Selection Criteria
1. Licensed according to the Security Industry Act 1997 Current NSW Security Licence Class 1A.
2. Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
3. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
4. Demonstrate intermediate level computer operating skills e.g. through experience with contemporary electronic security alarm monitoring systems (Access building control, CCTV surveillance, data entry, and Radio communications).
5.
Customer service skills with a high degree of personal integrity and motivation and willingness and ability to carry out tasks of a physical nature as described in Job Demand List.
6. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, follow directions and work without close supervision.
7. Sound communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and report writing skills. Skills related to escalating a problem to the appropriate line of management.
