This role will see you leading the Distribution Asset Management team. You will be responsible for optimising the cost, risk and performance of distribution network assets over the asset lifecycle.
With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH),this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Distribution Asset Management team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
Develop and maintain asset management strategies, plans and condition assessments across distribution asset classesMonitor asset risk profiles and develop mitigation plans for distribution assetsMeet network compliance and regulatory obligations, including public lighting, ESV, ESC obligations etc.Develop and maintain technical standards and specificationsDevelop maintenance policies and programs,
including implementing predictive maintenance and enhanced data driven analytics initiativesInfluence asset management and planning processes including analysis of equipment faults, risk modelling, weather impact on reliability, reliability focussed asset replacement /maintenance strategies and benchmarking results analysis to ensure focus on Network PerformanceWorking in conjunction with Group Operations, ensure all asset management practices and engineering solutions adhere to established technical standards and industry best practices.Provide strategic leadership and oversee the management, development and auditing of the Bushfire mitigation plan, Environmental and other safety obligations, providing strategic advice, guidance and contingency planningDevelop and maintain distribution network and asset informationProactively build a strong working relationship with key personnel at Energy Safe Victoria (ESV)You don't need to check every box; however,
we are looking for a good combination of:
Extensive experience (10+ years) as an Engineer in utilities industry with a minimum of 5 years' experience in asset management and/or operational management experienceDemonstrated ability to develop relationships and lead initiatives to successfully deliver business outcomesDemonstrated ability to lead engineering or related teams in Electricity utilitiesDemonstrated ability in stakeholder management and reporting skillsHigh level of consulting, influencing interpersonal and communication skills and driven to achieve results.Advanced interpersonal skills that enable communication at all levelsAbility to distil various stakeholder positions and develop and overall strategyPoses a strong commitment to risk management principlesExcellent verbal communications kills, both written and oralDemonstrated ability to develop relationships and lead initiatives to successfully deliver business outcomesDemonstrated ability to develop, coach, mentor and support team to achieve targetsA real place to belong.
