About the role
The Senior Project Officer manages and coordinates the development, implementation, and evaluation of tasks to achieve outcomes and support delivery of projects.
It involves design, problem solving, impact assessment, risk consideration, engagement, priority setting, and implementation.
The Senior Project Officer will support the Director in the design and implementation of the necessary policy, legislative, financial, and operational arrangements.
This includes ongoing policy and design work, development of
internal business processes and the interfaces with other entities; and development of documentation, correspondence, and guidance material
We are seeking a motivated and resilient person to :
- Manage and oversee all aspects of development and implementation for a range of projects, including developing project plans, scoping issues, reviewing current processes and practices, assessment of policy and legislative requirements, and identifying options and solutions.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met.
- Monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes.
- Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based design, planning and decision making.
- Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and priorities.
Key knowledge and experience
Experience in operational, process,
or policy design, enhancement or implementation is strongly preferred.
Essential Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and / or extensive relevant workplace experience is required.
- All roles associated with the Office of The Children's Guardian require a current Working With Children Check clearance.
