you will play an integral role in supporting our business as we continue to share special places and shape lasting memories for our guests.
This role is engaged to support the Attraction and Dining Division ( A&D;).
About the opportunity
Based in Melbourne (Southbank) OR Adelaide (CBD) and reporting to the A&D; Sales & Marketing Manager, the Sales & Marketing Executive will support all local sales and marketing activities across the division Melbourne Skydeck, Eureka 89, Darwin Harbour Cruises and Cruise Sydney in order to develop revenue, market share, reputation, and profile of each business.
On the marketing side, you will assist with the planning, development and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns, track sales data, help to manage social media accounts including community and content management, competitor research and manage marketing material and collateral.
In this unique role, you will also support a range of sales initiatives including new customer acquisition,
driving return frequency, product development, and creation of loyalty initiatives.
You will strengthen and grow local sales relationships through local partnerships with tourism businesses and industry stakeholders, as well as working closely with the interstate local sales teams for each business.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Sales, Hospitality or related discipline supported by 3+ years of marketing experience in the travel industry
- Experience in developing and implementing tactical marketing campaigns & local sales initiatives
- A good understanding of or experience within the travel industry
- Experience with CMS, CRM, social media, and content management platforms
- Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, coupled with professional personal presentation
- A creative and innovative approach with a drive to see new ideas come to life
- Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours in order to execute sales and marketing activities, and willingness to travel interstate as required
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Brandwatch experience is highly desirable
- Experience with WordPress and Google Analytics is highly desirable
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, multi-business environment
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
- Innovative and creative thinker
- Outstanding interpersonal skills ability to build and establish relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
