The role:
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Newcastle.
We are looking for experienced engineering professionals with TfNSW experience predominately, however, if you have delivered major road projects across Australia in any state, we will definitely still speak to you.
You must be flexible in regional travel given some of our projects can be quire regional in nature.
We will accommodate you with LAFHA on our regional projects; these are NOT FIFO opportunities.
Symal are able to relocate you to Newcastle should this be a move you would entertain.

Your impact:
Taking the helm of our ambitious and innovative projects, as a Project Manager, you will be a key voice in steering us as we embark on bolstering our growing workbook in the major transport space.
Your every day:
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental management. Lead continual improvement of a high performing safety culture within the delivery team
- Manage the overall delivery of the project in accordance with internal processes
- Manage execution of engineering, procurement and construction activities
- Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates
- Leading and managing teams of construction professionals including mentoring, training and performance management
Who are you?
- Experience delivering Civil Infrastructure projects in the major transport space for TfNSW or similar major transport authorities
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- A proven track record in delivering infrastructure projects and leading teams with a successful outcome regarding the above KRAs
- Be able to effectively communicate in meetings with consultants, clients, management & on-site personnel
- A proven record and understanding of HSE/QA compliance
