The Opportunity
Working as part of the high performing sales team, the Category Lead, Client Partnerships will be tasked with successfully managing and driving revenue across a category by engaging with both new and existing clients (suppliers). You will work closely with Client Partnership Managers and direct reports within your category to meet clients key business strategies and objectives. You will be responsible for:
- Meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly revenue targets for categories within your area of responsibility
- Managing a team to build and grow revenue streams from a portfolio of both existing and new business clients
- Providing updates on business reporting including accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management for your allocated patch of categories
- Protecting and growing existing trade revenue whilst also winning revenue from clients' marketing spend budgets
- Maintaining regular meetings with direct reports to gain an understanding of their strengths and areas for development
- Engaging with senior contacts in your category, building great business relationships and ensure you and your direct reports have an understanding of your clients' key strategies
- Embedding yourself in the Woolworths commercial team to ensure Cartology sales activity is aligned with the Woolworths marketing strategy & buyer category plans
- Manage pricing (discounts and bundling) in line with agreed parameters set in Cartology's sales plan
About you:
As our successful candidate you have significant experience in multi-channel media sales that includes shopper customers as media end recipients and you have proven success in growing multi-channel media sales to a range of different client types. You will also have:
- Experience with selling digital media based on target audience characteristics
- Expertise in managing campaigns that leverage a diverse range of coordinated media inventory (eg POS, print, email, targeted online, DOOH, radio and to a lesser extent TV)
- Competent with data clients, and demonstrate their Return on Investment to drive repeat business.
- Strength in forming relationships with Creative Agencies through targeting Business Development
