The Role
Are you a recent university graduate eager to start your career in finance? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Finance Team as a Graduate Accounts Receivable Assistant.
This role is central to supporting our company’s financial objectives by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable, claims, and credit management.
As a Graduate Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience working in a fast-paced environment, and you’ll be supported with mentoring from experienced professionals in our Finance team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract role that offers the perfect foundation for your career in finance and the potential for growth into further financial roles within our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Communication & Client Engagement: Liaise with clients regarding outstanding invoices, claims, payment terms, and collections. You’ll develop strong communication skills while working on dispute resolution and managing relationships.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics, to resolve issues and streamline accounts receivable processes.
- Accounts Management:
Support in making decisions on account holds and the timely release of orders. You’ll learn how to assess and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risk.
- Claims Processing & Reporting: Assist with claims administration and reporting, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and timely processing.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and pro-active university graduate with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. You will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and be eager to build your knowledge of accounts receivable. Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams will be key to your success.
We value excellent communication skills, both verbal and written,
as well as a proactive mindset and the ability to manage your workload in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with accounting software and the FMCG sector is advantageous but not required—we will provide training to help you grow into the role.
