We have an excellent opportunity as our new Finance Business Partner – Projects, to join our Operations department. In this role, which is highly focused on project reporting and tracking, you will work closely with the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) to help improve current business processes and enhance the quality of financial and commercial decision support within the ePMO portfolio.
You will act as a catalyst for change in driving continuous improvement and be responsible for influencing and developing project business plans, advising on future direction and investment choices. You’ll also provide financial reporting, analysis,
insights and objective financial advice to drive improvement in project performance while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, accounting standards and the University’s policies and procedures.
The Finance Business Partner - Projects will also provide coaching and training to improve financial confidence and competence across layers of management within the portfolio, provide forward looking insight, and promote good financial and risk management disciplines.

To be successful in the role, you will have:
- An undergraduate degree with a major in accounting or similar discipline, with subsequent relevant experience
- Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CAANZ) or Certified Practicing Accountant Australia (CPA).
- Significant experience in project financial management and related activities, preferably in a large and complex organization
- Strong knowledge and experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, delivering consistently accurate and clear information
