Edith Cowan University’s Nutrition Research group has recently created at least 2 new population health positions to undertake NHMRC and MRFF funded research projects.
The School is looking for Post-doctoral Research Fellows to conduct research in the field of nutritional epidemiology, clinical trials and population health.
The research will involve design and conduct of observational epidemiological studies / intervention studies (randomised controlled trials) / experimental studies / translational studies. The successful candidate will be expected to:
Apply for research funding
Initiate and develop targeted research collaborations
Conduct and co-ordinate research studies
Publish and promote the results of the research
Engage in the supervision and training of research students
Work closely with other team members
Skills and Experience
You must have:
A PhD in an appropriate field (applications can be accepted from current PhD candidates, but the PhD must be submitted prior to commencement of the contract)
Strong interest in nutrition and lifestyle research
Experience in planning and conducting scientific research
Excellent scientific writing skills with a demonstrated record of research publication
Demonstrated knowledge of biostatics and epidemiology
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

Benefits & Remuneration
These full-time, fixed term positions attract remuneration of $90,957 to $97,389 (ALEV A) or $102,253 to $120,814 (ALEV B) plus up to 17% University superannuation contribution.
