We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to a key project on “Electrically-Enhanced Recycling and Refining of End-of-Life Silicon Photovoltaic Cells – Process Upscale”. This project will design, develop and demonstrate a pilot scale process of electrically-enhanced silicon refining process for recycling and processing of EoL-PV Cell and alternative Si sources. As the successful applicant, you will collaborate closely with Swinburne Researchers, CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, Australia) and related industry partners.









The successful candidate will employ a high degree of autonomy and initiative to achieve the research directions under the leadership of the Lead Chief Investigator. This position is for 2 years on a fixed-term basis. The appointment will be made at the academic level (A or B) commensurate to the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:





- Doctoral qualification (or research experience) in Materials Science/Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related areas

- In-depth knowledge of thermodynamic/kinetics modelling and hands-on experience with thermodynamic/thermochemical packages

- Hands-on experience in high temperature experimentations (kinetics and equilibrium)

- Demonstrated ability to design and conduct independent research projects within a broader overall team environment
