We are looking for a Strategy Manager - Government & Research to work with our expert Australian and New Zealand team of 40+ employees. Do you have a passion for progressing the local Life Sciences Ecosystem and supporting Translational Research? Then we would love to hear from you. What you’ll do

Build, develop and maintain relationships with: Relevant State and Federal Government Departments, Key Translational Research organisations and Key Opinion Leaders around current and emerging biotherapeutic areas, University Research office and/or governance committees

Identify, actively supervise and promote grant opportunities with Cytiva as either lead grant recipient or participant with academic, institutional or industry partners, for programs that can utilise Cytiva's tools, technology and services

Drive engagement and increase involvement with government and academic groups to elevate Cytiva's profile.

Lead and drive new concepts across business (Regulatory, Legal, Marketing, Communications etc.), to integrate Government Affairs into commercial strategy and roadmap

Keep abreast of policy and legislative developments and proactively update and educate the wider team on the same

Engage with granting bodies, drive grant submissions and project manage existing and future grant-related activities Who you are

An experienced professional that has lead Business Development and Engagement, ideally within the Life Sciences Field. PhD is desired.

Well-developed external networks and an applied understanding of public and private funding bodies, applied knowledge of the political and policy environment.

Strong commercial acumen and experience working in a sophisticated, matrix environment

Excellent networking and business partnering skills with proven track record to influence across boundaries and across a broad range of cross functional and external partners

The ability to navigate the differences in legislation around research engagement in your region and that of other regions like USCAN & Europe Who we are
