FARMING AND TRADES AUSTRALIA Our client is seeking a full-time Vineyard Manager for its table grapes operations. This position is located in Merbein VIC, and attracts the annual salary between $65,000 to $85,000 dependent on experience. Responsibilities -Liaise with and report directly to key management personnel to coordinate and perform end-to-end operational activities at required standard; -Management of day-to-day vineyard activities throughout all growth stages to ensure objectives are met; -Review and enhance viticulture techniques and farming practices with a focus on innovation and continual improvement; -Review and enhance viticulture techniques and farming practice to maximise on-farm productivity; -Efficient and effective irrigation management including soil moisture and nutrient monitoring; -Efficient and effective management of fertigation and spray application programmes including disease and pest control and plant health regulation; -Management of harvest and field packing ensuring required quality control and assurance standards in collaboration with key technical personal; -Supervision and management of all farm workers including liaising and directing contract labour providers; -Contemporaneous record-keeping including spray diaries, crop management activities etc. Education / Experience / Skills -Minimum 5 years proven experience in commercial fruit crop production farming, preferably grape production -Knowledge and experience in table grape operations and farm management -Excellent understanding of agronomic practices and procedures Only genuine candidates will be contacted.
