About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and passionate Maintenance Supervisor at our Bordertown plant which is a five-day, sheep processing facility that also produces goat and mutton when in season.

The successful individual should be prepared to show leadership qualities and provide support across the business to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Along with management and support to the Maintenance Team to ensure the attainment of production, quality, WHS and HR requirements and objectives. JBS Bordertown are leaders in safety and globally recognised for quality products.
This is a full time position with the potential to earn $80,000 - $100,000 or more with additional allowances and/or overtime.
Required Skills and Experience:
Follow-up, progress and completion of all maintenance and engineering tasks on the plant
Daily management of direct reports
Initiation, implementation and completion of minor plant improvements
Keeping management informed of maintenance and equipment related issues
The rectification of equipment-related statutory requirements
Maintain a safe work environment for tradespersons and operators
Ensure immediate reaction to breakdowns and urgent work
Monitor daily plant maintenance activities to ensure priorities are met
Assist with planning and co-ordinating shutdown activities
Liaison with operations personnel to ensure a high degree of availability and reliability of plant and equipment
About you:
Mechanical or Electrical trade qualifications
Experience in maintenance supervision or management
Experience in a FMCG environment would be highly desirable
The ability to plan, organise and control front line maintenance activities to optimize the use of available resources
A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
Good computer skills
Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
Understanding of maintenance work planning and scheduling procedures
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Effective problem-solving
Sound knowledge of WHS regulations
