Eurofins Agroscience Australia/New Zealand is a leading provider of analytical services, regulatory consulting and technical support to the crop protection industry, seed businesses and veterinary medicine companies. Our technical activities involve conducting field and laboratory studies to determine the safety and efficacy of new agrochemicals, veterinary medicines/pharmaceuticals and crop varieties. We offer outstanding technical knowledge and project management skills, and are experts in managing field and laboratory studies, including GLP residue studies, analytical method development and physico-chemical property testing.
The full time role of Lab Technician within Eurofins Agroscience Testing is currently available, and we are seeking candidates for this exciting opportunity.
The role will be focusing on sample extraction for residue analysis. This will consist of extracting samples for a range of pesticide/veterinary compounds from various types of matrices.
The main duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Managing a heavy workload and maintaining turnaround times and attention to detail.
- Sample extraction for residue from various types of samples (project based).
- Communicating and documenting accurate records and observations.
- Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Adhering to ISO 17025 and OECD GLP standards for calibration and testing.
As an important role within Eurofins Agroscience Testing, the following selection criteria are essential for success:
- Bachelor degree in Chemistry or similar.
- Previous experience in an analytical lab will be highly considered.
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or autonomously whilst adhering to laboratory quality systems.
- Excellent eye for detail and organisational skills.
- Excel and Word proficiency.
- Knowledge of OECD GLP, VICH guidelines and APVMA requirements will be highly considered.
